Yercaud

Hello Travelers,

Yercaud is a beautiful hill station located at a distance of 240 Kms from Bangalore and is 30 kms from the city of Salem in Tamil Nadu.

I have visited this hill station a couple of times. A little over rated I can say. Food is bit costlier compared to other hill stations. One can visit this hill station as Solo, Couple, Family or Group.

So in the month of December during holidays, we decided to visit this hill station along with kids. I booked an accomadation and started at 8 AM after having early breakfast and reached Yercaud lake by 2:30 PM. En route we had our lunch near Adyar Anand Bhavan.

Tips: If travelling from Bangalore then take the Salem route. Google Maps shows a route which is of lesser distance but don't take it. As per few people who have taken it is risky, no network etc.. Carry extra food items like Biscuits, Fruits etc since I found the food quantity provided is less in hotels.
