Murudeshwara

Hello Travelers,

We visited Murudeshwara twice. It is located approx 500 Kms from Bangalore and located in Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka.

It is an important pilgrimage center. It is said that after Ravana tried to lift the Atma linga which was kept on the ground by Lord Ganesh, the Atma linga got broken into a pieces and it got scattered in many places. One such place is Murudeshwara.

We visited Sri Mahabaleshwar Dev Mandir, Statue of Lord Shiva, Bhukailasa Cave Museum, Took a lift upto 19th floor of Raja Gopuram and Finally went to the Beach and played.

I am planning for Scuba diving in Nethrani Island next time when we visit Murudeshwara.

Every one can visit Musudeshwara and have a great time.

After our visit next day we went to Gokarna after visiting Idagunji Ganesh temple. See you all in my next post. Bye :)
