Shravanbelagola

Hello Travelers,

Shravanabelagola is small town located in Haasan district of Karnataka. It is approx 160 Kms from Bangalore directly.

The world famous 55 feet tall Gomateshwara or Bhagawan Bahubali statue is present on the top of  Vindhyagiri hill. We need to climb 550 steps and takes usually 20 mins to be on the top of the hill. 

It is an important Jain pilgrimage center. A Mahamastakabhisheka takes place every 12 years.

Mandaragiri Hills

Hello Travelers,

Mandaragiri Hills is a small hill with 400 steps to climb near Dobbaspete in Tumker District. It has a Jain temple on top of the hill. Also they have built a temple in the shape of Peacock feather. There is also statue of Bahubali or Gomateshwara.

It is approx 75 Kms from Bangalore. Ideal for family, solo, group or couples to spend an hour or two. There is also a lake behind the hill which can be visited.
