Hogenakkal Falls

Hello Travelers,

Hogenakkal Falls is located in Dharmapuri district of Tamil Nadu. It is located at a distance of 180 Kms from Bangalore via Hosur - Dharmapuri route. The river which forms water fall is Cauvery. It is on the Karnataka and Tamil Nadu Border.

I did not do boating or eat fish. All I did was visited the place. May be do them later someday. 

My first impression after visiting this place - Although I saw people coming as couple or family. I do not recommend it to couples or family. This place is filled with Drunkards. People keep looking at women which will make them uncomfortable. Every now and then massage guys would come and ask you if you need any massage. 

You get fresh fish with masala applied and ready to fry. I guess best combo would be Rice, Rasam and fried Fish :)

One can do boating but checkout the price before hand. 

I have read about many incidents of over charging for boating, vehicle getting damaged etc. Watch out for con men also. Just don't blindly believe people.

Munnar

Hello Travelers,

Munnar is a hill station located in Idukki district of Kerala. It is located a distance of 480 Kms from Bangalore.

This one is a very special trip for me since it was also my Honeymoon destination. I don't remember names of places we visited. I wish to visit once again along with Thekkadi some day.

Kemmangundi

Hello Travelers,

We had heard of Kemmangundi a lot of times and were mesmerised by the beauty of the hill station after seeing them in Kannda movies.

So I decided on visiting Kemmangundi one day. I searched for places to visit along with Kemmangundi.

Kallathigiri falls is 10 Kms before Kemmangundi. So marked this place too for our visit.

One more thing to say - Kemmangundi is also known as Sri Krishnarajendra Hill Station and is located in Chikmagalur district of Karnataka. It is located 260 Kms from Bangalore. So we started at 5 AM and  took to Tumkur road and just before Tumkur took left towards Honnavar road.

We first visited temple of Swarnamba near Kadur since we have been visiting the temple regularly. From there we went to Kallahathigiri Falls and finally to Kemmangundi. Our lunch was in Kemmangundi which we had carried with us.
