Kukke Subramanya

Hello Travelers,

Sri Kukke Subramanya Temple is located in the Subramanya village of Suliya taluk of Dakshina Kannada district in Karnataka. It is approx 320 Kms from Bangalore.

Many people visit Kukke Subramanya to perform Sarpa Dosha pooje here.

After visiting Dharamasthala we also visited Southadka Ganesha and Kukke Subramanya Temples.

Bangaru Tirupati

Hello Travelers,

Bangaru Tirupati temple is near Koti Lingeshwara Temple. It is approx 10 Kms from Koti Lingeshwara.

A very beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Venkateshwara is situated on top of the Hill and opposite to it is Goddess Lakshmi Devi Temple on top of another small hill.

Lots of monkeys. Elders might find it difficult to climb the steps. One hour should be fine to see the temple and relax.

Koti Lingeshwara

Hello Travelers,

Shree Koti lingeshwara Swamy Temple temple is located in Kolar district of Karnataka. It is approx 90 Kms from Bangalore.

You need at least 2 hours to see the temple, take photos etc. Weekends are rush sometimes. You need to walk a lot so elders be prepared. Every one can visit this place.

At the moment the number of Lingas are in Lakhs and not One crore yet. Many people come and install Linga as per their wish when it comes true. I saw many politicians have installed Lingas here.

Dharmasthala

Hello Travelers,

Dharmasthala is the abode of Sri Manjunatha Swamy. It is located in the Belthangady taluk in Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka. It is approx 320 Kms from Bangalore.

After visiting Dharamasthala we also visited Southadka Ganesha and Kukke Subramanya Temples. We have visited Dharmasthala many times.

Rooms are available. Try to book the rooms online. There is a good parking facility in the temple vicinity.

Try to do these things when in Dharmasthala - Visit Manjusha Cultural Museum, Car Museum, Bahubali statue, Eat Anna prasadam and Take a dip in Netravati River before getting Darshan.

Bijapur

Hello Travelers,

Bijapur city is located at a distance of 560 Kms from Bangalore and is situated in Bijapur district of Karnataka. It is a historical city and was the capital of Adil Shahi dynasty.

We started at 5 AM and reached Bijapur by 2 PM. Bijapur is now renamed as Vijayapura. After Chitradurga take right towards Hampi Expressway. Empty roads and you will find difficulty looking for good hotels. Try finishing breakfast before Chitradurga.

In Bijapur too getting a good veg hotel was difficult for us. May be we did not search properly.

We saw two dams enroute to Bijapur from Bangalore - Tunga Bhadra Dam and Alamatti Dam.

Here are some pics.

On our personal trip to Bijapur along with Gol Gumbaz we had the opportunity of visiting temples of Laskhmi Narasimha Swamy in Toravi and Narasimha temple near Bus Stand.

Along with visiting these temples we also visited Gol Gumbaz. Here is the post link: https://rajendrajagathkar.blogspot.com/2022/04/gol-gumbaz.html
