Hello Travelers,
After having lunch on Sundays usually people take rest. I had a different plan, to visit a small Dam named Budikote Dam. Due to wrong calculation of time I missed visiting Budikote aka Fort of Ash as I reached the dam at 5:30 PM and it was already late.

The dam was built by Mysore PWD. Not really a tourist spot, this one is for people who want to explore. It is about 70 Kms from Bangalore. The roads towards Malur were not in good condition when I traveled.

In the first visit I missed visiting Budikote itself - "Budikote means Fort of Ash". So next time I clubbed my visit to the fort along with my visit to Yargol Dam which is 16 Kms away. The fort is not really a fort and is birth place of Hyder Ali.
