Shrungagiri Sri Shanmukha Temple

Hello Travelers,

After visiting Omkar Hills Temple we proceeded to Shrungagiri Sri Shanmukha Temple. It is also located in RR Nagar.

It's a newly built temple and is dedicated to Lord Subramanya. The temple is situated on a small hill lock and we need to climb a lot of steps. Elders might find it difficult.

After entering the temple main gate and climbing a few steps we have 5 Faced Ganesha Temple, Then after climbing a few more steps we have Lord Shiva and Parvati Temple. The Shiva Linga is made out of Crystal. And finally after few more steps of climbing we have the Temple of Lord Subramanya. The Vimana is designed to have 6 Faces of Lord Shanmukha.

Parking space is available opposite to the temple. You need at least 1 Hour to see the temple. From the top we can see how huge is Bangalore :)

Omkar Hills

Hello Travelers,

We were planning to visit Omkar Hills Temple and Shrungagiri Sri Shanmukha Temple since a long time. So this Saturday we decided to visit. We started at 3:30 PM and reached Omkar Hills in RR Nagar by 4:30 PM.

It's a newly built temple and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. There are temples of other gods too. The temple is situated at an elevation. I must say RR Nagar is quiet a hilly place. The place is calm and you feel relaxed.

Good amount of parking space is available. Be ready to walk since you have lot of things to see in the Temple vicinity. Elders might find it difficult.

You need at least 1 to 1.5 Hours to relax a bit and see the temple. From here we went to Shrungagiri Sri Shanmukha Temple which is around 4 Kms.
