South Goa - 1

Hello Travelers,

This blog is about my visit to South Goa and this is my first visit to South Goa. South Goa is - 'Not very crowded'. Ideal for Couples and Family. Some pics are added from my second trip too when I visited the same tourist spots twice.

I stayed for 5 nights and explored many tourists places and beaches. Stayed in a property called Colva Holiday Homes. It is a serviced apartment and has a good swimmimg pool.

Here is the itinerary:

Day 1: Started from Bangalore at 4 am and reached Colva in South Goa via Hubli - Dharwad route by 3 pm. Had heavy breakfast in Davanagere. Skipped Lunch since we were not hungry. That day we visited Colva beach. Here are some pics.

Day 2: Visisted Naval Aviation Museum, Bogmola beach and Varca beach.

Day 3: We did a mistake of going with a tour operator, basically they charged around 300 Rs per person but where ever there is tourist entry fee we would be charged twice or thrice the amount. I noticed it later when I returned back. Please never ever opt for a tour operator. Scooter is far cheaper option to explore or take your own car. We visited places like Goa chitra museum, Basilica of Bom Jesus, Shantadurga and Mangeshi Temples, Dona Paula and Abyss fish Aquarium.

Day 4: We spent our day exploring some beaches like Mobor, Carmona, Cavelossim etc.

Day 5:  We visited Karwar and have added a seperate blog when I visited again after a few years.

Here is the link: https://rajendrajagathkar.blogspot.com/2022/03/karwar.html for combined pics.

We visited South Goa for second time and went on a Cruise. Here are some pics.

So that concluded our first trip to South Goa. Thank you. See you in my next blog.
