Turahalli tree park

Hello Travelers,

Since a very long time I was thinking of going to Turahalli forest and explore it after reading about it on the internet.

It's Saturday morning, so I started my bike at 6 AM and reached Turahalli forest by 7 AM. I was disappointed to hear that there is no entry into the forest now since covid started.

I also read about Turahalli tree park adjacent to the forest. So decided to see what is inside the park.

It's a newly built park out of the existing forest area I guess. The walking trail is ok. Some exhibits of birds, animal and insects are present inside park area. A view point is also present. Lots of dogs inside the park.

The entry is free at the moment. Ample parking space is available. Try carrying a DSLR to take bird pics. I heard sound of peacock and tried to find it but couldn't see it. The sound was coming from inside the forest.

Note: Entry into the park is only in the morning and evening.

Ooty

Hello Travelers,

Ooty was on our list, infact I planned to visit Ooty for our Honeymoon but then my friends insisted on going to Munnar instead and I had to drop the plan.

Ooty is located in Nilgiri district of Tamil Nadu. Its approx 300 Kms from Bangalore.

A few years later I decided to visit Ooty in my new Car. So I book a hotel and packed my bags. 

Next day we started at 8 AM and reached Ooty by 5 PM. I know its too late. But I was driving slowly, took breaks, looking at Animals in Bandipur forest. I took advice of a person in Theppakaadu and tried reaching Ooty via Masinagudi. Please do not take this route unless you are a good driver. It has 36 Hair pin bends and I was a new driver. Some how reached Ooty and took break that day.

Next day we visited Doddabetta peak, Botanical Garden and Finally Ooty Lake to conclude our trip.

We spent two nights in Ooty.

Coorg - 2

Hello Travelers,

Coorg does not need any introduction. It is a famous hill station and tourist spot in Karnataka.

There were some places which we did not cover in Coorg earlier. So I decided to visit them this time.

Finally while returning back we came through Nagarahole Tiger Reserve forest to see some animals and reached Hunsur. From there we went to Mysore and finally reached Bangalore.
