Kelavarapalli Dam

Hello Travelers,

Hope you are all doing fine. It's rainy season and it makes it a bit difficult to travel on bike because of road conditions, rain etc.. But as they say...where there is will there is a way...

So after having my heavy lunch I started my bike to explore a new place today. Actually I visited this place last week but it got closed as I was 15 mins late.

I visited a dam called Kelavarapalli Dam near Hosur in Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu. It is approx 50 Kms from Bangalore and took me 1 hour and 45 mins. The route to the dam is good.

It is a beautiful dam but stinks a lot. I was lucky to see the dam gates were opened and I saw water flowing out. The water was full of froth. At one point the smell was unbearable. One can spend around an hour max as there is not much to see except to take some photos.

I reached the dam via Hosur route. Then pass through Hosur town. The Dam and its surrounding are beautiful and suggest to visit it once.

See you all soon in my next post. Bye 😎

Allasandra Lake

Hello Travelers,

Happy weekend!

Continuing with my exploration to new places, I went to see Allasandra Lake this weekend in the evening. It is near to Yelahanka in Bangalore.

I saw many people visiting this place to take a walk. The lake also has equipments for children and adults. The lake is neat and clean. Police personnel are manned inside the lake. The lake is not stinky but I can see waste materials at the banks of the lake.

The lake has a walking trail of approx 2 Kms which my fitness watch measured.

Here are some pics.

See you all in my next post. Bye :)

Shoolagiri Dam

Hello Travelers,

So after having my lunch I started my bike to explore a new place today.

I visited a dam called Shoolagiri Dam in Shoolagiri in Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu. It is approx 70 Kms from Bangalore and took me 2 Hours. The road approaching the dam is getting laid. Approx 3 Kms is not motorable towards the Dam. Cars will have tough time and suggest to avoid travel by Car. Bike is fine and of roading vehicles is also fine.

It is a beautiful dam and at the moment there is no need of any permission to visit. This is not a picnic spot so it is purely for exploration. One can spend around an hour max as there is not much to see except to take some photos.

I reached the dam via Hosur - Shoolagiri route. Then pass through Shoolagiri town. The route is scenic especially the last 3-4 Kms where you can enjoy the ride and see Farms and Shoolagiri Hills.

The Dam and its surrounding is beautiful and suggest to not miss it. Try carrying a DSLR as I saw peafowl.
