Hello Travelers,

Do you remember Malgudi Days serial on Doordarshan, Yes..Ta na na Tana nanana...:)

That Malgudi is non other than Agumbe. The serial was shot here by legendary Actor Director Shankar Nag. Agumbe is located at a distance of 360 Kms.

Agumbe has sunset point for which it is famous for. Many people come to see sunsetting here during Summer. Agumbe also receives highest rain fall in the state.

Sringeri

Hello Travelers,

Sringeri is hill town in the Chikmagalur district of Karnataka. It is approx 330 Kms from Bangalore.

An important pilgrimage center where the world famous Adi Guru Sri Shankaracharya built a temple for learning - Sri Sharadambe Temple.

Aksharabhyasa is done in the temple for kids. I had my Daughter's Aksharabhyasa done here.

Horanadu and Kalasa

Hello Travelers,

I have visited Horanadu twice and must say the journey itself is awesome. The beauty of Chikmagalur will make the drive memorable. Beautiful mountains I must say will make you fall in love with this place.

The famous Sri Annapoorneshwari Temple is situated in the Horanadu Village in Chikmagalur district of Karnataka. It is situated at a distance of 325 Kms approx from Bangalore.

On the way to Horanadu and 6 Kms before Horanadu, you will see a village called Kalasa. It has a Kalaseshwara Temple and it lies on the banks of Bhadra river.
