Sakleshpura

Hello Travelers,

So I am back with a new post. I was thinking of visiting places near to Sakleshpura in Haasan district of Karnataka. I didn't want to stay so returned back same night. It was a good drive with occasional rain and drizzle through out the trip in Haasan district.

I visited places like Gorur Dam, Settihalli Rosary church, Manjarabad fort and Bisle Ghat view point.

Here are some pics.

Gorur Dam - Beautiful dam built across Hemavati river also called Hemavati Dam. It is also called life line of Haasan district. The route it self is beautiful towards Gorur Dam from Channarayapatna. You will see a lot of villages and farms and river Hemavati flowing.

Settihalli Rosary Church: This church gets submerged when it is monsoon. You need to visit it during summer month to go near the church. Since it is peak monsoon we could see it from a bridge as most part of the Church was submerged.

Manjarabad fort - This fort is situated 6 Kms from Sakleshpura. You need to climb a lot of steps to reach the top. The fort is star shaped. Good spot for Photography.

Bisle Ghat View point - This place was covered by fog so will visit it again in summer months.

Kelavarapalli Dam

Hello Travelers,

Hope you are all doing fine. It's rainy season and it makes it a bit difficult to travel on bike because of road conditions, rain etc.. But as they say...where there is will there is a way...

So after having my heavy lunch I started my bike to explore a new place today. Actually I visited this place last week but it got closed as I was 15 mins late.

I visited a dam called Kelavarapalli Dam near Hosur in Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu. It is approx 50 Kms from Bangalore and took me 1 hour and 45 mins. The route to the dam is good.

It is a beautiful dam but stinks a lot. I was lucky to see the dam gates were opened and I saw water flowing out. The water was full of froth. At one point the smell was unbearable. One can spend around an hour max as there is not much to see except to take some photos.

I reached the dam via Hosur route. Then pass through Hosur town. The Dam and its surrounding are beautiful and suggest to visit it once.

See you all soon in my next post. Bye 😎

Allasandra Lake

Hello Travelers,

Happy weekend!

Continuing with my exploration to new places, I went to see Allasandra Lake this weekend in the evening. It is near to Yelahanka in Bangalore.

I saw many people visiting this place to take a walk. The lake also has equipments for children and adults. The lake is neat and clean. Police personnel are manned inside the lake. The lake is not stinky but I can see waste materials at the banks of the lake.

The lake has a walking trail of approx 2 Kms which my fitness watch measured.

Here are some pics.

See you all in my next post. Bye :)
