Bidanagere Hanuman Temple

Hello Travellers,

After visiting Kaidala, I proceeded towards Bidanagere near Kunigal town to see one of the tallest statues of Lord Hanuman in Panchamukhi Avatar. It is approx 85 Kms from Bangalore and 40 Kms from Kaidala.

The height of the statue is 161 feet. The temple was not crowded since it was weekday. The location is well marked and houses other gods temples - Shani Mahatma and Nandi along with Panchamukhi Anjaneya.

One can spend an hour or so taking pictures. We have to pay 25 Rs to go to the 1st floor to get closer look of the statue.

Kaidala

Hello Travelers,

I am back after visiting two temples in Tumkur district. Lets talk about the temple in Kaidala village.

I started at 7 AM and reached the destination by 9 AM, en route I finished my breakfast.

Kaidala is a small village near Tumkur and is located approx 80 Kms from Bangalore. I visited the Channakeshava Swamy temple in the village after reading about it.

Kaidala is the birth place of the greatest sculptor - Amara Shilpi Jakanacharya. As per temple priest when the sculptor cut his right hand after finding a defect in a statue in Belur, he prayed and constructed the Channakeshava Swamy temple in Kaidala village with his left hand. Pleased by his devotion, the lord restored his right hand after the construction. Please watch the movie by name -  "Amarashilpi Jakanachari" in Kannada and Telugu.

One can spend around an hour or so visiting the place.
