It's another weekend and the itch to travel started again. So after having Lunch I got ready and rode my bike to a small dam called Maralwadi Dam near Kanakapura. It is 60 Kms approx from Bangalore, again it depends on where you stay. It took me 2 hours to reach. I started my ride at 3 PM and reached by 5 PM.
I travelled via Jigani and proceeded towards Maralwadi Dam. The route is scenic and passes through Villages, Farms and Bannerghatta reserve forest for a few Kms. The roads are well laid. Enroute you will see many beautiful landscapes with hills in the background which will make you stop the vehicle and take pictures.
The dam is beautiful indeed, actually there was no one when I visited. A few monkeys were on the trees at the entrance for the welcome but they did not disturb me. One could spend around 30 to 60 mins. It should be a good half a day trip.
