Lalbagh Botanical Garden

Hello Travelers,

Lalbagh Botanical Garden is an important place to visit when in Bangalore.

Lalbagh hosts flower show every year twice - on the event of Republic day and on Independence day. There would be huge rush during those days.

Lalbagh is popular among walkers and joggers in Bangalore. It is a very big Garden, need atleast 3-4 hours to explore completely. It was our favourite spot and would visit it every fortnight post 4 PM and spend around 2 Hours.

Everyone can visit and enjoy this place. It is well maintained. There are huge trees which are very old. There is also a big lake inside the premises. Lalbagh has many gates to access from so remember where you had parked the vehicle.

If you cannot walk or if you are short of time you take the electric vehicle. The driver cum guide will explain you of different trees inside the Garden.

Benches are available if you get tired of walking, just relax and start again. Children can play in the Garden. Dont miss the Bonsai park opposite the watch tower built by the great Kempe Gowda.

You can also do wedding photography in Cubbon Park. I guess you need to take permission of that.

From here we would proceed towards VV Pram food street and enjoy our food and return back.

Here are some pics.

See you all in my next post. Bye :)

Hoskote Lake

Hello Travelers,

Hoskote lake is an important lake situated in Hoskote. It is approx 20 Kms from Bangalore. The lake stinks very badly. We can do bird watching and photography.

Note: Please do photography during weekends, There has been incidents of the locals troubling you to take pics on DSLR and send them on WhatsApp. One such incident happened with me too. There was also an instance where a photographer was beaten and the same came up in news.

I saw many birds like - Painted Storks, Spot billed Pelicans, Purple Herons, Egrets, Pond Herons, Swamp Hens, Ducks, Cormorants, etc.

Here is the location link: https://goo.gl/maps/gfbAYFMyd7mNgJii6

Here are some pics of birds I took.
