Boyakonda Gangamma Temple

Hello Travelers,

Boyakonda Gangamma Temple is located in Chitoor district of Andhra Pradesh. It is approx 155 Kms from Bangalore. 

Gangamma is a very powerful Goddess and people from Karnataka, Tamilnadu as well as Andhra Pradesh visit to seek her blessings. I noticed that people come here for one particular purpose i.e., perform pooja before digging a borewell. 

Animals are also sacrificed here by the devotes after their wish gets fulfilled like to bear a child, build a house, get married, job etc.

Elderly people can take auto from the car parking area if they find it difficult to walk. There is also a foot path with steps upto the hill. Rooms are available at the base of the hill to cook the food. There are also cooks available who will prepare food for you. The place is getting improved well day by day.

Hogenakkal Falls

Hello Travelers,

Hogenakkal Falls is located in Dharmapuri district of Tamil Nadu. It is located at a distance of 180 Kms from Bangalore via Hosur - Dharmapuri route. The river which forms water fall is Cauvery. It is on the Karnataka and Tamil Nadu Border.

I did not do boating or eat fish. All I did was visited the place. May be do them later someday. 

My first impression after visiting this place - Although I saw people coming as couple or family. I do not recommend it to couples or family. This place is filled with Drunkards. People keep looking at women which will make them uncomfortable. Every now and then massage guys would come and ask you if you need any massage. 

You get fresh fish with masala applied and ready to fry. I guess best combo would be Rice, Rasam and fried Fish :)

One can do boating but checkout the price before hand. 

I have read about many incidents of over charging for boating, vehicle getting damaged etc. Watch out for con men also. Just don't blindly believe people.

Tippu Sultan's Summer Palace Bangalore

Hello Travelers,

Tippu Sultan's Summer Palace is located opposite to the Vanivilas hospital near Kalasipalya in Bangalore.

Basically the palace's structure is made out of wood.

Car and bike parking is not available, you need to park in the hospital parking on the opposite side of the road.

This place is not a must visit place but for exploration purpose only.
